Aimie (she/they) is Minus18’s General Manager of National Programs. A proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Aimie comes to Minus18 with over 15 years in experience working across a number of for purpose organisations including community services, community and SDA housing organisations.

Aimie remembers growing up in rural Victoria and the challenges faced by LQBTQIA+ youth and is passionate about reducing the ongoing isolation of the rural LQBTQIA+ community.

Aimie is passionate about creating better community outcomes through education and knowledge sharing. She has a strong belief that everyone deserves to have a community in which they feel safe, empowered and engaged. Her lived experience has highlighted the challenges that our communities face, and believes for purpose organisations and their people are best positioned to support and develop programs for those communities.

Stay in the loop

Minus18 is located on the land of the Yalakut Weelam Clan of the Boon Wurrung peoples, Australia’s First People and Traditional Custodians. We acknowledge their continued connection and contribution to land, water and community, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded; this always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
