Asiel Adan Sanchez (they/them) is a non-binary doctor, writer and advocate. They joined the Minus18 Crew whilst still in medical school and have been a member of the Board of Directors since 2016. They are a member of the Access and Inclusion Committee, Finance and Risk Committee, and work across a broad range of intersections within the LGBTIQ community.

Asiel is a passionate advocate for LGBTIQ health. Outside of Minus18, they work as a General Practitioner at an LGBTIQ clinic in Melbourne and hold academic roles at The University of Melbourne. On their free time, they enjoy writing poetry and non-fiction essays. Their work has been featured at the Emerging Writers Festival, and in Archer Magazine, Voiceworks and Rabbit Poetry, amongst others.
