Our safe, supportive Discord community is now open to all LGBTQIA+ teens around Australia! We’ll send you an invitation to join the Discord server through email. If you haven’t been to a Minus18 event before, we’ll just need to check your age first. Request to join below!
More About Discord
Yes! Minus18's Discord server is a safe, welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ young people across Australia. Hosted fortnightly by the Minus18 team, including Youth Workers and Chat Moderators, the server is carefully monitored to ensure a supportive environment.
All Minus18 Staff, Volunteers and Youth Workers have been screened by Minus18’s Youth Safety Lead and receive ongoing training on child safety and mandatory reporting legislation in Victoria. A Working With Children’s Check (WWCC) is required for anyone that works with young people at Minus18. It is one way we make sure our Discord server remains a safe and affirming space for the children and young people in our care.
At Minus18, creating safe, inclusive and empowering spaces for all young people, especially LGBTQIA+ youth, is at the heart of everything we do. The Minus18 Discord server is an invite-only platform for LGBTQIA+ young people aged 13 to 19 in Australia.
We’re proud to uphold the Child Safe Standards and National Principles for Child Safe Organisations, and build environments where every young person feels safe and welcome.
We champion diversity, and ensure our programs are inclusive of young people of all genders, sexualities, intersex variations, cultures, faith and abilities.
